Currently, Circle CVI is looking for a FP&A Manager to join our team in a full-time hybrid work model (remote and in office) in our headquarters in Calgary, Alberta (or other location).


About the Opportunity

As our new FP&A Manager, you will:

  • Lead the planning, budgeting and forecast modelling across key departments including customer success, support & services and work directly with senior leadership & direct reports
  • Develop and maintain financial modeling and reporting, on a monthly basis, to support organizational leaders
  • Support monthly close processes, perform variance analysis and analyze cost drivers
  • Deliver regular reporting and analysis to optimize gross margins including whitespace analysis and recommendations to improve profitability
  • Partner with the business on resource allocation and staffing plans with the goal to optimize costs and drive greater levels of profitability
  • Partner with other internal groups including accounting, sales, marketing, operations
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and modeling to support key strategic P&L initiatives
  • Process optimization. Resolving workflow inefficiency between technical systems which may require manual intervention
  • Reporting to the VP Finance responsible for overall company P&L management


About You

  • Experience in the software industry
  • Experience in the software medical space a plus
  • Advanced skills in financial analysis, modeling and reporting in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft query
  • Experience working with Salesforce & Sage data
  • Experience with M&A a plus
  • Strong communication and partnership skills are important
  • Prior experience with Adaptive Insights or other budgeting / planning systems is a plus
  • Prior experience with NetSuite or other accounting systems is a plus
  • Prior experience managing department level budgets and forecasts strongly preferred
  • Willing to learn, self-starter
  • 6+ years of experience in finance/sales operations; must be very comfortable with FP&A best-in-class processes, forecasting, trends analysis and present a willingness to be hands-on
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in finance, accounting or equivalent qualifications
