Currently, Circle CVI is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team in a full-time hybrid work model (remote and in office) in our headquarters in Calgary, Alberta.

Position Overview:

Manage the ongoing Human Resource requirements of a fast paced and growing global software company.  Reporting to the VP Finance, this position is responsible for processes relating to all aspects of the Human Resources function including recruiting, benefits, staffing reports, employee relations, maintaining personnel files and various other related HR functions.  Depending on Candidate experience this position may also include some payroll related oversight.

General Responsibilities:

  • Develop, drive and maintain key company metrics including weekly executive dashboard, vacation management, recruitment statistics, headcount and market trends
  • Drive company culture & retention
  • Work closely with VP Finance to execute on corporate key performance indicators
  • Coordinate the recruitment process including development of position profiles, advertising job postings on various platforms, candidate applicant screening, coordination of interviews and input into final selections
  • Lead the onboarding process for all new hires
  • Assist with the development and implementation of corporate human resources initiatives, policies and practices, standard operating procedures and participate in forward planning in relation to personnel programs and trends in human resources management
  • Oversee administration of employee benefit programs including Health, Dental, Vision, RRSP and DPSP plans
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with all applicable global jurisdictional legislated employment requirements such as WCB, disability, wage report filings, etc
  • Coordinate employee performance and appraisal processes
  • Identify individual and group training needs
  • Preparation and execution of company training plan including training budget
  • Maintain employee training logs and records
  • Maintain and update job descriptions
  • Respond to employee inquiries
  • May be involved in ensuring timely and accurate processing of payrolls as assigned from time to time
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned from time to time

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience working in a human resources management role within the software industry
  • Experience in the medical industry a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment regulations
  • Knowledge of employment regulations in USA, Brazil, UK, and European jurisdictions an advantage
  • Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint beneficial
  • Attention to detail and accuracy a must
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and deal effectively with tight deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast paced & exciting environment with competing priorities
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to coordinate and influence processes, people, information flows and deliverables across departments and geographies
  • Exceptional reasoning, analysis and problem-solving skills and able to back ideas and follow through with focused delivery
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, energetic and flexible
  • Post-Secondary education with HR focus, CHRP designation or equivalent combination of education and 5+ years’ experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
